1998 joint release from collectible labels united states of mars and out to lunch, featuring the combined talents of alex krüger and ulrich schnauss. all about the title track for me, a vocoded italoesque prowler predating italians do it better's 'after dark' by about a decade (obviously it is not the only such example, considering that compilation's throwback concerns, but for whatever reason (my age) this tune really speaks to me as befitting 06-07), retaining the naïve melody and nocturnal push - dreamy and addictive, an escape backwards. it gets a choppier, electro-fied isolée remix, and on the flip the duo furthers the palette on quirky arcade electro with delicious lead lines, culminating in another sweetly nostalgic (06-07) end credits theme... if you want the midpoint between i don't know, lowtec and johan agebjörn... this is it!
