hour house - chiltern

australian duo sam kenna and mark leacy, members of castings (with (presumably) leacy's brother shaun, a.k.a. suburban cracked collective) among other projects, deliver this excellent album as hour house. along with the aforementioned, 'chiltern' slots nicely next to other of their countrymen/women, landing in similar territory to kallista kult, f ingers, tarquin manek, troth, etc. this is some kind of personal pop, delivered as murmuring, smudged abstraction, with murmuring vocals and a narcoticized, somnambulant lurch. huge repeat value for the price. recommended!
