lawrence - in a rush

two svelte and sleek cuts of house which supersede the numbing and perhaps moronic distinctions between minimal, deep, tech - locked in drums moving at a purposeful clip and lawrence's trademark dazed synthetic instruments, deployed economically. as much as he has a distinctive (cult?) style, i don't think he phones it in very often, and 2013 was one of his prime years. stefan marx, who was ubiquitously phoning it in for awhile (though, on the contrary, his book 'rebel without a cause' is incredibly hilarious), delivers charmingly gloopy floral sketches on the cover. cool record!
