v/a - sounds of the windy city

compilation from the second/third (ish?) wave of chicago house (1998), featuring such notable names as glenn underground, boo williams, and paul johnson. this release mixes harder, pumping tracks, aimed at the cajual/dance mania fan, with looser sensibilities - the standouts by moon man (boo williams) and vick lavender flirt with wamdue and bay area styles as much as anything from their city, though it's not hard to imagine the glistening chi skyline while listening to them.
